How it works

A transparent look at what happens after you press Check—and what the result can and cannot tell you.

Three steps, entirely on your device

  1. 1. Split

    Your writing is divided into paragraph-based passages so one section does not distort the rest.

  2. 2. Score

    An open-source RoBERTa-based classifier runs in your browser and estimates each passage.

  3. 3. Highlight

    Passages scoring 85% or more are highlighted and counted by word length.

Your text stays local

The model is downloaded from Hugging Face when you first run a check and cached by your browser. Your writing is processed locally, not uploaded to us.

Limitations

AI detection is probabilistic. Formal or academic human writing can produce false positives. Casual, heavily edited, or paraphrased AI writing may be missed. Short texts give the model less context and are less reliable.
