ChatZero processes pasted and opened document text locally in your browser. Your text is not sent to our servers, stored by us, or associated with an account.
Detection model
When you first check text, your browser downloads the detection model files (about 408 MB) from Hugging Face. Your browser caches those files so later checks can start faster. This request is subject to Hugging Face's own privacy practices.
Accounts
We do not offer user accounts. The checker does not need a login, and your writing is not used for model training.
Cookies and local storage
The checker itself does not need cookies. Your browser caches the detection model files and may store small preferences locally on your device. If advertising is shown, third-party cookies may be used as described below.
Advertising
This site may display ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Users can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices (and www.youronlinechoices.eu for Europe).

Standard hosting data
Our hosting provider may log standard request information such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and time of access for security and service operation. The text you enter into the checker is not part of those page requests.
Local files
Text and Word documents are read by code running in your browser. They are not uploaded to us.
